Broadtree Partners Acquires ACME Plumbing Company

Charlotte, NC – January 7, 2026, Broadtree Partners (“Broadtree”) has successfully acquired ACME Plumbing Company (“ACME” or the “Company”), a fourth-generation family owned and operated commercial and residential plumbing services company based in Durham, NC.

Founded in 1947, ACME is a long-standing, fourth-generation family owned and operated business that will serve as the platform investment for Broadtree’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (“MEP”) services strategy. Based in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill (“Triangle”) market, one of the fastest growing metros across the country, the business possesses an exceptional reputation built by decades of high-quality customer service and workmanship.

Tripp Andracchio, a Broadtree Partners Operating Partner, joins the Company as the new CEO, while Larry Tilley, the previous Owner and CEO, will continue with the business in an advisory capacity. Tripp is a North Carolina native and brings with him extensive real estate project management experience and a vast network of major developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and property managers across the Triangle market, having previously led multi-billion-dollar real estate development projects with Kane Realty Group. Leveraging deep pipeline visibility from prior experience, Tripp is well-positioned to identify future acquisition opportunities, sustain a strong construction backlog, and drive multi-vertical expansion with minimal friction.

“For more than 75 years, ACME has built a reputation for quality, integrity, and partnership in the Triangle construction community and as a reputable service provider for residential and commercial property owners. It’s an honor to be entrusted with a legacy this strong, and I’m committed to supporting the team, serving our customers, and building on what has made ACME so respected for so long,” said Tripp Andracchio, new ACME CEO.

“In 1947 my grandfather started what would become Acme Plumbing & Heating Co. My father grew the business and led it for 40 years.  Thirty-three years ago, I took over the helm. Today, Acme P&H is poised to benefit from the next level of management to continue its upward growth spiral. I feel strongly that we have found the right person and resources to guide the company through the next 30-40 years,” said Larry Tilley, seller and previous Owner & CEO of ACME.

Brad Batten, Managing Partner at Broadtree Partners, added, “the Tilley family has built an exceptional business grounded in delivering the highest quality service for its customers. We will continue to focus on delighting our customers and continuing Larry’s family legacy. The addition of Tripp’s leadership and further growth resources will position ACME for strong growth into its next chapter.”
